Dodge RAM ProMaster: an American van with European origins.

In may 2006, PSA group and Fiat Professional introduced in Europe the third generation of vans Peugeot Boxer - Citroën Jumper (also called Relay in UK) - Fiat Ducato (first generation was initially called Peugeot J5 - Citroën C25 - Talbot Express - Fiat Ducato - Alfa Romeo AR6).

However, the joint venture between Fiat and Chrysler, signed in 2011, permitted to launch a fourth van built on the same base, called Dodge RAM ProMaster.

So, Dodge RAM ProMaster is a Fiat Ducato only available for the USA, with a specific front, produced near USA, in Mexico.
Two engines are proposed :
- a 3.0 diesel engine of 174 hp, also known in Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper, with a 6 speed automated manual transmission.
- a 3.6 Pentastar V6 petrol engine of 280 hp (made by Chrysler), with a 6 speed automated transmission.

For $ 30,900 (about € 23,000), you can buy a extended version of RAM ProMaster, with the 3.6 petrol V6 and 6-speed automatic transmission.
